According to the law, the national service is a holy duty for every citizen. It aims at the defence of the homeland, the participation in the global development of the country and the propaganda peace in the world.
The national service lasts only one year and comes to mean reinforcement of the integrity of the country the respect of its society values and equality between the citizens.
The national service takes two forms:
- Effective service into the armies’ forces.
- A national service outside the armies’ forces. Units, inside ministries, local collectivities and public establishments or within the framework of the individual assignment and also the technical co-operation according to the global defence necessities and the national solidarity.
